Weekend of June 6th

Our good friends Todd and Lisa and their son Zachary came to visit from Colorado. It was so nice to see them and catch up on all the happenings in Denver. Sam and Claire had a great time playing with Zachary who is Claire's age.

Bill and Todd went out for a guy's night on Friday night and then on Saturday night we all went out and left the kiddos home with Bill's parents. Claire slept the whole time and Sam went to bed around 8:30. Zachary on the other hand decided it was party time and didn't go to bed until 10:30! He was on vacation after all!

We had a nice dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then went to a wine bar. Bill and I rarely get to go out with other couples so we really enjoyed it.

Before Todd and Lisa left for the airport on Sunday they wanted to see downtown McKinney. The Jazz and Arts Festival was going on but it wasn't overly crowded while we were there. We walked around for awhile and then had lunch. On our way back to our cars there was a clown making balloon animals. When he asked Sam what he wanted he said "a zebra!" This temporarily stumped the clown but he was able to quickly come up with something that pleased Sam. Of course within about 5 minutes of getting his balloon zebra it popped! Oh well. At least we got a picture of it before it popped.
