Home Depot Workshop

On Saturday March 1st I took Sam to Home Depot for the kids workshop that they have on the first Saturday of the month. We got there around nine and stood in line to get an apron for Sam and the project for the day, which was a race car. After we got our apron and car Sam became overwhelmed with all of the kids and noise so we just hung out and watched the other kids for awhile. Once he saw some of the other kids finish their cars and go get a certificate and pin for their aprons he decided that it was okay to go find a seat and start making our car. The tables that were set up were basically pieces of ply wood on blocks and the chairs were orange buckets, so nothing fancy. We found two buckets and sat down and got started. Sam helped hammer in the nails and put on the wheels. He liked putting on the stickers too. When we were done he was very proud of what he had made and he now likes to play with his race car. We'll have to try to go next month and maybe I will actually remember to take a picture of him in his apron!
