Big Boy Bed

Well almost a year after we bought Sam his big boy bed he finally started sleeping in it! On Tuesday November 6th he decided he wanted to take a nap in his bed. I told him he had to stay in the bed and could not jump on it. If he jumped on the bed or got out of it he would have to sleep in his crib. He didn't fall asleep right away but eventually feel asleep and slept for over 2 hours. We were hopeful that he would sleep in it that night and initially it appeared that he was going to stay in his bed but right before Bill and I said good night and turned out his light he said "crib" so we moved him back into the crib where he slept all night.

Wednesday he wanted to sleep in his bed for nap and he did fine. That night I went for a run with a friend and Bill put him down by himself but he wanted to sleep in his bed. He slept there all night and now 2 days later he is still napping and sleeping in his bed at night. We are not sure when we will take his crib down but he isn't showing any interest in the crib so we are hopeful that he is done with it. I guess he was finally ready for this big transition and that it was good that we didn't try to push it.
